Poker is a card game where players place bets to win the pot. Each player has a fixed amount of money to contribute to the pot (this is called a blind). The person to the left of the dealer has a small blind and the player two positions to the left has a big blind.<\/p>\n

Using the law of averages, most poker hands are losers, so it\u2019s best to fold early on and not be forced into bad deals. This simple strategy can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.<\/p>\n

In poker, it\u2019s important to be able to read your opponents. This includes understanding their tells, which are unconscious habits that reveal information about their hands. These can be as subtle as a scratch of the nose or a fiddling with their chips.
