Poker is a card game that involves betting and a lot of psychology. Although at its core it is a game of chance, there are also many different strategies that can be employed. To begin a hand players ante some amount (the amount varies depending on the game) and then get dealt cards. Once everyone has their cards they then bet into a pot. The highest hand wins the pot.<\/p>\n
The first round of betting is called the flop and the dealer deals three cards face up on the board that anyone can use. During this betting round everyone gets the opportunity to call, raise or fold their hand.<\/p>\n
Once the flop is done the dealer puts another card on the board that any player can use, this is called the turn. During this betting round everyone has the opportunity to raise or fold their hand again.<\/p>\n
