Poker is a card game of skill and chance. Unlike other games of chance such as roulette and craps, the outcome of a hand of poker depends in large part on a player\u2019s strategic decisions, which are based on probability, psychology, and game theory.<\/p>\n
Poker games are usually played with a fixed number of chips, each worth a certain amount (e.g., a white chip is worth one minimum ante or bet, and a red chip is worth five). Each player must purchase some of these chips, which are then used to place bets during the course of a betting round. During the course of each round, players may raise, call, or drop their bets.
